La actriz Carrie Fisher se encontraba en un vuelo entre Londres y Los Ángeles cuando sufrió de un infarto. Al parecer fue auxiliada tanto por el personal de vuelo como de un médico que también se encontraba en el avión.
Al aterrizar, la actriz fue llevada de emergencia al hospital de la Universidad de California en Los Ángeles. En el camino, al parecer, estuvo hasta 15 minutos sin pulso.
El hermano de la actriz declaró a la agencia AP que ya había sido estabilizada y que se encontraba fuera de peligro.
